THE STORY: Château La Picherie is owned and run by Rodolphe Guimberteau, a member of a renowned Bordeaux wine family. He employs Gilles Pauquet as consultant, who also lends advice at Châteaux Cheval Blanc and Figeac. The property has just two hectares of vines planted on very distinct soil types: limestone, clay and sand, just as you find in Saint Emilion itself. Each contributes a different character to the wine.
