Chateau MOULIN DE CANTELAUBE Saint Emilion Grand Cru 2012

A fairly mature ruby, nice, even colour. The nose has green, weedy (in an nice way!) hedgerows and licorice, together with loads of tobacco. Light and fresh on the attack, with good plummy red fruits. Very elegant and restrained. Good soft tannins round out a very attractive wine.

THE STORY: In 2002, Alain Moueix took over managing Chateau Moulin du Cadet. This was a changing of the guard, as the previous generation had been in charge of the property since 1989. One of the first, and surely most important decisions made by Alain Moueix was to change their vineyard management techniques. In 1991, the estate underwent a complete renovation of their wine making facilities.
