Tasting notes: This Viognier is characterized by fine, almost salty acids and a perfect balance. This wine, coupled with the spicy and fruity generosity that is inherent in Viognier, makes a fine and versatile companion.
About the winery:
The Marron family created the Domaine Les Bruyeres in the 18th century and is now running by their direct descendant, David Reynaud. The 23-hectares estate is located in the heart of the appellation Crozes-Hermitage and Saint-Joseph, in the North of the Rhone Valley. Since 2003, the vineyard is fully biodynamic. The terroir is a mix of pebble stones that contribute to good drainage on top of a clay-limestone bedrock that stores the water and provides optimal nutrition for the vines.
